I grew up on a farm in a very small town called Auburn in southern New Jersey! The town was so small that we had to borrow the neighboring town’s zipcode. I was the youngest of four siblings and attended Catholic school for 12 years. My childhood equipped me with wonderful values and great work ethics.
I married right after high school and was blessed with 3 amazing sons. They are and always will be the reason my heart smiles so brightly. Watching them grow up and become confident and healthy men, is one of my greatest joys.
Throughout the years, I worked in the Direct Sales industry so I could stay home and share in their activities. I have been so blessed by this industry. It provided me the opportunity to build great businesses, solid relationships, create successful teams, and develop impactful training to help people fulfill their dreams. To this day, 35 years later, it is still an intricate part of who I am and continue to become, as I encourage, educate and empower others To Touch their Dreams!
I was very involved in my church, in choir and as a facilitator of small faith-sharing groups. There was always a longing in my heart to learn more about God and His amazing power. Then, one day I truly experienced it first hand in my “mini miracle”.
In December of 1992, I was having a strange reoccurrence of twitching in my left eye. As the day progressed, the right side of my face was drooping. Thinking I was possibly having a stroke, I went to the doctors and was diagnosed with Bell’s palsy. Over the next 3 weeks, even with therapy, my face continued to get worse, with the looming threat of losing my right eye.
My pastor suggested an anointing of my face with oil. One night a few friends and I were at a church event, so we decided to have the pastor anoint my face that night. I will never forget that moment. We all sat on the floor in front of the altar at our church. The pastor anointed my eye, cheek and mouth with oil and the others did the same. They prayed over me as I wept with an overwhelming sense of love and healing. The next morning, the Bell’s palsy was gone! My face returned to normal. It was at that moment that my spiritual journey went to another level.
A few years later, in 1997, my life changed dramatically as I went through a divorce after 17 years of marriage. Even though it was a challenging time, I always believed that God has a purpose in all things. During the years to follow, I had a strong longing to continue strengthening my relationship with God. After years of searching and visiting dozens of churches, I landed at a Baptist church. Another pivotal moment came as I dedicated my life to Christ in 2002.
After 15 years of being single, God sent me Paul in 2009 and a year later we were married. Having someone that has a heart for the Lord was so important to me and God knew that desire. We continue to grow, learn and follow His will.
I am so blessed to have all my sons married to wonderful women, and to be Nonna to 5 incredible grandchildren, Charlie, Giuliana, Elia, Gabriel and Vivienne, who are my heartbeat! Our spare time is spent pouring love into all their lives!
In June of 2013, the next chapter of my journey was launched by a powerful and beautiful little book titled Your “I AM” Wake Up Call: Connecting to the Divine Spirit Within. Your “I AM” Wake Up Call is a 31-day devotional that inspires readers to tap into their God-given qualities alive in their Spirit. Each day provides you with a simple, yet profound reflection, including an “I AM” statement, supported with a bible verse, relevant quote and a photograph from my personal journey. A portion of the profits go to International Justice Mission, an organization which creates awareness and stops the horror of human trafficking in the world.
The focus of the “I AM” message continues to grow as I share inspirational talks and interviews on Your “I AM” Wake Up Call radio show every Monday morning at 7:30am.
I look forward to all that God has in store for me. I am learning to trust and know that He has everything aligned according to His divine purpose. Knowing who I am, because of whose I am is the greatest lesson I have learned. Walking in obedience to that knowledge, gives me confidence, that the best is yet to come.
